Recipes For A Candida Free Diet

 

Finding recipes for a candida diet that will offer a large array of different foods can be very difficult to do.  The reason is that the best anti-candida diet is one that is very simple and consists of only a few ingredients.  Candida is naturally kept in check by other benifical bacteria in your body.  Sometimes it can get out of control causes an array of different problems for the sufferer.  This is known as an intolerance to yeast.  In order to combat the problem, sufferers should start a candida free diet for about six weeks to jump start their bodies into functioning properly once again. 

Removing yeast from the diet means staying away from foods that are high in yeast like cheese, sugars and fermented foods.  Foods that are high in yeast are breads, rolls, cookies, pastries, pretzels and other kinds of bread like foods.  Vinegar is something that is also high in yeast and should be avoided as well.  Foods that contain vinegar like mayonnaise, salad dressing, barbecue sauce, mustard, or pickles should also be avoided.  It is a good idea to add more meats and vegetables to your diet instead.  A good candida free recipe will most likely consists of three very basic and plain items such as meat, vegetables and a small amount of complex carbohydrate.  The meat in such recipes may consist of ground buffalo, ground, turkey, ground beef, beef patties, chicken patties, chicken breast, chicken thighs, turkey patties, chicken patties etc.  Other kinds of meat can be sardines or tuna salads.  If you are going to have beef or chicken patties, make sure you leave out the bun.  You should also stay away from dried, smoked or pickled meats and cured bacon.  The largest portion of the meal should be meat.  Then the vegetable should be almost an equal amount to the meat and then a very small amount of the carbohydrates.  It is also possible to not add any carbohydrates to the meal.  When preparing the vegetables, consider steaming them.  Steaming is always the best way for cooking vegetables because steaming vegetables is a great way to retains more of the nutrients within the vegetables.  Try to eat a least four to five small meals a day.  Spreading your meals out will keep your blood sugar and hunger under control.  Snacking in between meals is okay but should be limited to how much you eat at a time.  If you are going to snack, eat things like raw vegetables or nuts but stay away from nuts like peanuts and pistachios.  If you find that you are the kind of person who is hungry a lot during the day, you can graze through out the day on things like green apples, carrot sticks, raw broccoli and asparagus, and celery sticks etc.  The added fresh vegetables to your diet will also help to clear out the dead and dying yeast cells as well as their mycotoxins from your body.  Some kinds of foods you should stay away from are grapes, raisins, dates, and citrus fruit.  Foods that  should also be eliminated from the diet are those that contain sugar like chocolate, honey and maple syrup plus, soft drinks and drink mixes.
